Project History
Dragonchoice first found its place in the Fan Fiction
Forum of Anne McCaffrey's Kitchen Table in 2001. The story
of a troubled Interval Weyr gathered momentum - and readers
- week by week, until its conclusion 70,000 words later.
After feedback posts and emails established a demand for
copies of the finished story, I promised to produce a polished
final version, with the possibility of an illustration or
two to accompany it. and it took a year and a half, but with
the help of eight artists and the addition of an impressive
twenty pictures, the illustrated Dragonchoice was the
result.
I had already written most of Dragonchoice II: Dragonchosen
by the time the first Dragonchoice had been finalised.
Two years after Dragonchoice made its debut on the
FFF, I started posting Dragonchoice II. New readers
and old followed its progress, with the same pattern of early
scepticism giving way to enjoyment. The explosive events of
the last chapters even won me a comparison to J K Rowling!
As of 23 December 2005, the final illustrated version of Dragonchoice II is complete. Read it now
