Miriam Laidlaw (nee Dose)

Created: “Searchrider and Blue” (Chapter Two, Dragonchoice); “Blooding” (Chapter Eleven, Dragonchoice).

Background: I have always enjoyed drawing, but hated participating in curriculum art, so never took art at school. I could probably have done with the theory and techniques, but have managed by making stuff up as I go along. My favourite subjects to draw are animals or plants, but I have occasionally attempted people.

Favourite media: I now mainly work either with acrylics or digital media (painting with Photoshop and my Wacom tablet and vector images in Inkscape).
